JCB sales and global market share rose to all-time highs in 2007, says the firm, with turnover up to a record £2.25bn, compared with £1.75bn) in 2006. The firm sold more than 72,000 machines, with year-on-year sales up 30%. The company’s share of the world construction equipment market rose to 12%, up from 10.4% in 2006, while India overtook the UK as JCB’s single largest market with sales of more than 17,000 machines.
