Alo acquires MX/Mailleux

Alo AB, the Swedish front-end loader manufacturer, has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire all the shares of MX, the French loader maker formerly known as Mailleux which is Alo's biggest competitor. MX products are marketed in the UK by Staffs-based Chillton, while Alo has had its own UK subsidiary since buying the business of its former importer, Lawrence Edwards, in the 1990s.
The new Alo group says it will employ 1,100 staff and produce approximately 40,000 loaders. It is targeting net sales of around €270m annually.
