Baler answer to waste handling problems

Ireland's LSM Engineering has introduced its Agri Waste Baler to the agricultural market, in reponse to tougher waste disposal regulations. Materials suitable for baling include agricultural plastics, packaging, silage wrap, feed bags, mulch films, bale twine or net wrap, spray cans, chemical containers, cardboard and tyres, says the firm, which suggests that while farmers will pay on average £1,000 per year to dispose of waste plastic, a group of farmers buying one waste baler between them will reduce that cost significantly. With up to 35t compaction force, its machine is capable of making 500kg bales of waste. Price of the Agri Waste Baler, which is linkage-mounted and works from one spool, is £9,250.00 + VAT.
