Feb tractor regs continue upward trend

Tractor registration figures from the AEA for February 2007 suggest the bullish machinery spend by farmers and contractors shows no sign of abating just yet. Total number of 50hp+ tractors (the new AEA lower hp limit for ag machines superseded the old 40hp figure in Jan 2007) registered for the month was 777 units, up 23.3%, taking the year-to-date total to 1,511 units, a rise of 15.7% on Jan-Feb 2006.
