MF combine line gains a fresh look for 2009
Jul 1, 2008 #341
Massey Ferguson is introducing two new combine harvester families, plus additional models at the top and bottom of its 'entry' Activa line, for harvest 2009. Badging-wise, the Fortia name now decorates the panels of the new rotary range, which comprises an updated version of the existing 459hp Cat-powered 9895 (profi July/Aug 08) along with two new smaller models - the 413hp 9795 and 378hp 9695, both featuring Sisu engines. On the conventional harvester front, the two-model Centora line - 378hp 7280 and 413hp 7282 - replaces the 7274 and 7278 Cerea machines, and benefits from a redesigned cab, improved service access and a turret unloading auger; main internals, such as the Cerea's eight straw walkers, remain largely unchanged. Last up, the 176hp five-walker Activa 7240 and 275hp six-walker Activa 7247S models join the firm's Italian-built line of entry-level combines.
