US giant invests in Russia - big time

Deere & Co has announced today (April 2nd, 2008) that it has signed an agreement with the Russian government to invest about $80m in a distribution, parts and training facility in the Kaluga region, 38 miles south west of Moscow. The picture opposite shows an artist's impression of the intended John Deere location, which is due to be operational in 2010.
