We catch up with Ploeger’s first European-built, self-propelled merger ahead of its official launch at Agritechnica

Strictly speaking, this is not Ploeger’s first self-propelled merger. In North America its sister company Oxbo has sold the 250hp John Deere-powered 4334 (12.12m working width) for a number of years. The discussions to develop a European-built version began three years ago as several of the US-made machines had crossed the Atlantic. This was initially considered the starting point, however the main focus with the 4334 is to produce wider swaths in alfalfa, wholecrop and heavy grass crops.
