Three of Massey Ferguson’s TH telehandlers are now available with the new Dyna-CT transmission; the TH.6534, TH.7038 and TH.8043.
All three share the same engines, lift capacities and maximum lift height as other models in the range, but feature a new continuous transmission that utilises one pump and two hydraulic motors.
With no mechanical transfer gearbox, the new box allows operators to select a speed range on the move, even while pulling or pushing heavy loads, by selecting either the hare (0-40km/hr) or tortoise (maximum 20km/hr) speed ranges using a button on the in-cab joystick.

Dyna-CT models also come with a maximum speed limiter, automatic engine stop and start, cruise control and dynamic tractor management. With the latter activated, the accelerator pedal sets the travel speed. The engine and transmission are automatically managed to keep the engine revs to a minimum as the working load changes.

The maximum speed limiter allows to set and store a maximum travel speed. Ideal for less experienced users, or operation in areas where travel speeds are restricted, it is possible to specify a maximum between 1–40kph through the terminal and set a password to prevent unauthorised changes.
In stop and start mode, the operator can specify a period of inactivity from 1–20 minutes, after which the engine stops, and the handler enters stand-by mode.
