Pöttinger has made a few changes to the 12m Tinecare Master precision tine harrow. The model number has also changed from the V12200 to the V12050.

The change in model number is due to the working width in basic configuration of precisely 12.0m (V12200 was 12.18m). The new Tinecare Master V12050 comes with 400 tines, although six additional ones can be added to increase the working width to 12.18m to ensure an overlap between passes.

Tine pressure is hydraulically adjustable from 0.5 to 6.0kg (previously 0.5 to 5.0kg), and it is possible to adapt tine angle and underframe clearance to the conditions.

The longer tines on the V12050 have a larger wear range of 125mm (longer lasting Durastar Plus carbide tines optional), and the new model has more compact transport dimensions, the frame folding in five sections to a transport width to 2.95m.

Other changes include larger jockey wheels (18.5 x 8.5 – 8) with grooved profile (standard) or field lug profile (optional). Optional steerable jockey wheels at the rear of the frame increase ground tracking accuracy, and the position of all the wheels is adjustable to match standard planting configurations and row crops.

The optional track harrow prevents uprooted weeds from being pressed into the soil again by the rear jockey wheels.

Suitable for use in all standard arable crops, the frame is designed to provide the optimum weight distribution over the entire working width, and the long travel of the springs ensures it adapts to uneven land.

With its six-gang configuration and inter-gang spacing of 360mm, there is plenty of clearance for large volumes of organic matter and the machine is said to be suitable for working in mulch-drilled crops.

The first commercial units of the new V12050 will be available from September 2025. It is not yet known when the first machines will arrive in the UK.
