With a rated output of 785hp and a peak of 853hp, the Quadtrac 785 is the most powerful Case IH tractor so far.

First spoken about earlier this year at the CNH Investor Day, a few details and pictures of the new flagship in the range have just been loaded onto the company’s North American website.

The details are limited this side of first public outing at next week’s Farm Progress show, but the company has harnessed a lot more horses from the 16-litre FPT Cursor engine, and the 785 is 10% more powerful than the Quadtrac 715, which peaks at 778hp.

The information released so far suggests that much of the rest of the spec of the new range-topper is the same as the 715. This includes the 1,968l fuel tank and the 16-speed PowerDrive powershift (top speed of 42.6km/hr). Rear lift capacity is the same at 10.1t as is the 27.7t empty weight and 34.5t GVW.

We suspect that more details will surface from the North American show and it is highly likely that the European debut of the latest Quadtrac range topper is planned for Agritechnica.
