Amazone has launched the first mounted versions of its TopCut cultivator. Working widths are 5.0m and 6.0m.
Like the recently launched 12m trailed 12000-2T (see profi 3/2023), the two knife rollers on the TopCut 5000-2 (5.0m) and 6000-2 (6.0m) come from the firm’s compact disc harrows.
Working at depths of up to 2.0cm, and at speeds of up to 20km/hr, the double-knife roller is said to be ideal for the cutting up maize and oilseed rape stubbles and cover crops. It can also be used for seedbed preparation and generating a stale seedbed.

The optional three row harrow further improves straw distribution after the combine (HD variant available with tungsten carbide tipped tines). The aggressiveness of the harrow is altered hydraulically from the cab.
The base machine, without the optional harrow, can be used either on the front or rear linkage (rear mounting only when used with the three-row harrow). When the knife roller is mounted on a front linkage it can be used with another cultivator or drill on the rear.
