Fliegl has acquired the rights for the Cutaro SR 1100 self-propelled triple mower developed by Swiss company ARB-Tec.
Developed in 2022, the cutting width is up to 11m and the mowers and conditioning units are hydraulically driven. Power comes from a 350hp Mercedes engine, the standard spec includes an air-suspended cab, and the Cutaro weighs just 8.5t.
Fliegl has not yet released a timescale, but our colleagues at profi.de reckon the plan is to produce a small number of pre-production machines. We suspect these will be in European fields for testing next season. Fliegl intends to build the Cutaro at the same Kirchdorf plant as the Cargos forage wagons and farm loaders.
Also, we understand that Fliegl plans to revise the self-propelled vehicle to reduce the transport width from 3.5m to 3.0m, and our German colleagues reckon that the new mower decks will no longer be sourced from Claas.
It did not say what they will be, but at a pre-Agritechnica press meeting in Germany last week Fliegl said it will reveal a couple of prototypes at the November show. What we do know is that the 2,200m² stand in Hall 4 will certainly be large enough to accommodate what is already dubbed by our German colleagues as the Fliegl Big F.
