The new seeding boom from Dutch manufacturer Zocon is designed to establish cover crops, oilseed rape, clover and grass seed.
Available in widths of 3.0m, 8.0m and 12m, the galvanized boom can be rear-mounted, but the company expects most users will attach it to the front of the tractor with a disc harrow or cultivator at the rear.

Offered as mechanical or hydraulic folding variants (3.0m mechanical only), the boom can be used with all Zocon seeders, and the 18 spreading plates are adjustable. Weight of the 12m unit, excluding seeder, is 350kg. Lights, warning plates, and integrated folding support legs are all standard. Options include a platform with access steps.

In Europe, the 12m model with basic Z300 seeder costs approx. €10,500 (mechanical folding) and €12,000 with hydraulic folding and optional platform and steps.
The new seeding boom will be on the Zocon stand at Agritechnica. Zocon machines are available in the UK through North Yorkshire-based Ryetec.
