New Holland is launching the T7 XD, a new range of 360-435hp tractors, at Agritechnica.

Representing a new high-hp category in the New Holland tractor line-up, the three models, the 360hp T7.360 XD, 390hp T7.390 XD and 435hp T7.440 XD, will appeal to customers looking for that all-round capability, from heavy field work, demanding PTO or hydraulic tasks to high-speed haulage.

All three models are designed around a Stage V 8.7-litre FPT Cursor 9 six-cylinder engine mounted on a structural sump. This design minimises vibration and eliminates the need for support rails, keeping the tractor waist narrow, aiding manoeuvrability and forward vision.

A 680-litre fuel tank is 13% bigger than on T7 HD tractors, while the Cursor engine’s service interval is extended to 750hrs. A flat power curve ensures maximum power is always available, while peak torque is delivered at 1,400rpm, with the transmission electronically utilising this low engine speed figure to minimise fuel consumption. When idling, engine speed drops to 650rpm, to further cut fuel use.

Standard on all T7 XD models is a new version of the Auto Command CVT. Based on a proven 4×2 range design, it introduces a maximum 60km/hr travel speed, reducing road travel time and fuel use through operation at lower engine rpm. An external oil reservoir permits a lower transmission oil level to improve efficiency, particularly at high road speeds. Should it suit the application, a stepped manual control feature allows operation in a powershift mode.

To blend manoeuvrability with ride comfort and maximum implement handling capability, the T7 XD combines a wheelbase of 3.19m with a front-end design that minimises the overall length. A new Terraglide independent front axle suspension enhances driver comfort thanks to enhanced shock absorbing ability and anti-roll and anti-pitch logic.

Maximum gross vehicle weight is up to 19,000kg (where local legislation permits), enabling these tractors to handle large mounted and trailed implements on the road and make use of a new wheel weight design for convenient ballasting. Also available for the first time on a New Holland tractor is an integral central tyre inflation system.

A new 6.1t capacity front linkage is fully integrated to ensure implements are as close coupled as possible. It is complemented by two double-acting spool valves, plus optional 1,000/1,000E rpm PTO.

Rear lift capacity is 8% higher than on the T7 HD, at nearly 12t, and up to five double-acting high-flow remote valves can be specified, with a power beyond supply optional. Hydraulic demands are met by a MegaFlow dual pump and energy-saving dual circuit option, with 360l/min total capacity, up 67% on T7 HD tractors.

The enhanced Horizon Ultra cab has an upgraded frame and refined suspension that further isolates the cab from any chassis movements and minimises roll. Visibility is improved thanks to a 260° front wiper sweep and new drawbar area lights built into the rear fenders.

Cab noise level is just 68 decibels, and standard fitments include the IntelliView 12 touchscreen terminal, through which operators can set up and monitor the tractor and any ISObus implement.

The first deliveries will start from September 2026.
