Zuid West Banden is a relatively new player in the central tyre inflation business. Jaap Vollaard from the Dutch business says that nine out of ten system it has fitted so far utilise the tractors compressor for inflating the tyres due to a combination of cost-saving and acceptable performance. But it also has external compressor systems for those wanting a more rapid inflation time.

Its Flow Control system comes in two levels of spec – Standard and Advance. The €4,000 (plus fitting) two axle system uses manually operated valves positioned outside the back window for deflation and inflation. The €7,000 Advance package can use the tractor’s ISObus terminal or if one is not available it is operated via a separate terminal dedicated to the task.
