Kioti has ambitions to grow its market share from 2.5% in Europe to 6.0% by 2030. To help achieve this goal it unveiled a range of new machines at Agritechnica, including its first skidsteer. But the headline act on the stand was the HXS1403 which was being previewed with an autonomous package.

The HSX is a higher spec version than the HX, adding load-sensing hydraulics with 500kg more lift capacity. Cab suspension is also part of the spec but front axle suspension is not yet available. The HSX will use the same 3.8-litre, four-cylinder engine as the HX and four range, eight powershift transmission with a top speed of 40km/hr. The main driveline components are covered by a seven year, 5,000 hour warranty.

Integrated into the roof of HSX was a series of cameras for the autonomous operation. While the ‘dumb’ tractor is ready for production, the ‘smart’ autonomous system is not expected until 2028.

Sticking with the tractors for a moment, also on show was the DK6020 replacement, the DK6030. Under the skin, not that much has actually changed, the 25hp model is currently Kioti’s best seller in the UK. The updated mainly apply to the styling and the addition of telematics which is expected to be a hit with councils and ground keeping enterprises where the this compact tractor range is finding favour as it will allow remote fleet monitoring.
