Valtra showed this eye-catching hand painted G Series tractor at Agritechnica and announced that the 100-145hp range can now be ordered with a CVT.

Developed and manufactured by Agco, the new transmission option is available across all four models and comes in two configurations – Active and SmartTouch.

Providing a single working range from 0 to 40km/hr, the new transmission option also helps to save fuel by keeping engine revs low. The powertrain operates on the EcoPower principle already used in the larger Q and S Series tractors. As a result, there is no longer a need for separate EcoPower models in the G Series CVT lineup.

Valtra emphasises that the new tractors are designed to be as easy to drive as possible. “Tractors in the 100–145hp range are often used on dairy farms and in yard work, where both tasks and operators change frequently,” says Valtra product specialist Timo Mattila. “Versatility is key, and the tractor must be intuitive to operate. Just select the direction and control the speed using the pedal, lever, or cruise control.”

Other updates to the G include a new fender design. This improves implement coverage and simplifies attachment via enhanced linkage control, with optional pto and top link controls.

Production is due to start in May and all CVT models are equipped with load sensing hydraulics. The existing powershift models will remain in production, with no changes to engine output.
