News has just reached us of the sad death of Egidio Maschio, who committed suicide earlier this morning. There is nothing official from the company, but reports in the Italian media confirm Mr Maschio shot himself in his office in Cadoneghe, and was found by a staff member soon after 6.30am. Mr Maschio founded the Maschio Group together with brother Giorgio in 1964. Our thoughts go out to the family, and the company’s 2,000 worldwide staff. Mr Maschio was 73 years old.
