Best-known for its mini tracked dumpers and digger-mounted hedge-trimmers, Slanetrac is set to introduce a compact pivot-steer loader to its line-up.
Fitted with a 20kW/27hp, three-cylinder Kubota engine and a 20km/hr two-range hydrostatic transmission, the H160 is built in China to the Irish firm’s particular specifications. This includes a 50-litre/min hydraulic package suitable for running the company’s flail heads, finger-bar trimmers and gulley cleaning wire brushes.
As such there are two auxiliary hydraulic services on the boom and electronic joystick circuits to operate solenoid-activated diverter valves on any attachments. Slanetrac’s spec. also incorporates a preset speed function that sees the operator use the throttle pedal to control engine revs and a separate dial to maintain a constant pace.
Slanetrac has developed a new offset attachment carrier for this and other compact loaders. Dubbed the MultiBoom 900, it can be equipped with either a single- or twin-knuckle jib that will tilt and rotate the company’s implements. It costs in the region of £1,900 while the pivot-steer H160 is expected to land on UK shores for around £25,000.
