The North American tractor market declined by nearly 10% last year to 195,857 units.
21,422 units lower than in 2024, figures published by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reveal that the sharpest decline was in the 100hp+ category. The 17,648 units sold were 5,161 (22.6%) fewer than the 22,809 in the previous year.

Articulated tractor sales were also hard-hit last year. The 2,543 units were 41.6% lower than the 4,357 in 2024. The decline in the 40 to 100hp category was limited to 4% to 52,812 units, and the 122,854 compact (sub-40hp) tractors sold in North America last year was 9.1% fewer than a year earlier.
The North American combine harvester market was also subdued last year with sales down by more than a third to 3,579 units (5,556 in 2024).
