Fendt dealer Hamilton Ross Group has agreed heads of terms to acquire Ancroft Tractors. The transaction is expected to complete on March 31, 2026.

The proposed acquisition supports Hamilton Ross Group’s long-term strategy of strengthening its regional dealer network and enhancing customer support capability.

The Group operates from six strategically located depots across the Central Belt of Scotland in Bishopton, Tarbolton, Campbeltown, Perth, Lanark, and Cupar.

The addition of Ancroft would expand its presence across the Borders, Lothian’s, and Northumberland, whilst further reinforcing its representation of the Fendt brand in these regions.

On completion, Ancroft Tractors will operate as part of Hamilton Ross Group, with its three locations at Berwick-upon-Tweed, Macmerry and Kelso becoming additional depots within the wider Group network.

Ancroft’s established local presence will be maintained. Customers will continue to be supported by the same teams, backed by the wider parts, technical and operational resources of Hamilton Ross Group.

“This expansion helps to build on the excellent reputation Ancroft Tractors have built in the area over many years,” says Fendt’s Martin Hamer. “Customers have the reassurance of knowing that the Hamilton Ross Group are an established Fendt dealer, who know and understand the Fendt product range as well as their customer’s needs.”
