Massey Ferguson has added the 2M to its compact tractor line up. The new 50-65hp four-cylinder range spans 50-65hp.
Replacing the previous 1750 M, 1755 M, and 1765 M, the new 2.4-litre models are the 2M.50 (49hp), 2M.55 (54hp) and 2M.65 (65hp). As well as new external styling there is a revised dashboard design, an improved layout and clearer displays, a new design of steering wheel and updated model numbering.
The standard transmission in the 2M.50 is a hydrostat and the 2M.55 comes with a 12 x 12 mechanical power shuttle. The 2M.65 can be specified with either. An air-conditioned cab is standard on the two smaller models, while the 65hp range-topper is available with a cab or open platform ROPS. The hydraulic controls have been upgraded and there is colour-coded labelling. Hydraulic flow is up to 48.1lit/min and rear lift capacity is 1.58t.
If you are looking for a simpler specification, then the new 2E.55 could be of interest. Replacing the 1755 E, the transmission is a 12-speed mechanical unit. The standard specification includes 1.2t rear linkage lift capacity and 32lit/min hydraulics. The 54hp tractor comes with an open platform and a folding ROPS frame.
