DRIVING IMPRESSION: Case IH has been offering its Farmlift telehandlers since 2013. Recently the machines received a revamp, so we grabbed the opportunity to take a closer look at the 4.2t, 7.0m Farmlift 742

The desire to go ‘full line’ has prompted most of the big names in the tractor business into marketing a telehandler, one such player being CNH Industrial. Today Case IH has half a dozen machines in its Farmlift agri spec telehandler range, which is built alongside the New Holland offering at the Lecce plant in southern Italy.

Late last year these were given a bit of a revamp, not only to meet Stage IV emissions but also the Tractor Mother Regulations (TMR), and while they were on with the job the engineers slipped in a number of product tweaks. To be frank, the actual TMR updates are relatively basic and straightforward: for example, there‘s now a mandatory specialist tool for opening the bonnet.
