DeLaval says that its VMS V300 milking system is not only a new experience for cows, but also allows dairy farmers to do more with less. With up to 99% teat spray hit rate and real quarter milking, the new system is claimed to provide a 10% higher capacity than the previous model with lower running costs.

The transparent teat preparation system is new, and the company claims the newly-developed vision technology results in smooth, fast and accurate teat cup attachment (attachment rate is claimed as high as 99.8%).

With a 50% faster attachment time, the company reckons the V300 has the potential to handle over 3,500kg of milk per day. A new user interface allows remote access to information and control of the system.
