One year after the production of the 10,000th trailed sprayer at John Deere’s Dutch sprayer facility, comes the news that it has taken the same site at Horst just nine years to make the 1000th self-propelled sprayer. The key for the milestone machine, a 4000-litre capacity R4040i, was recently handed over to a farm business from the Czech Republic. John Deere bought the sprayer business of Dutch manufacturer Douven at Horst in 1997. Extended and developed to increase production capacity, in addition to the R4040i, the facility also makes the 5000-litre self-propelled 4050i, and trailed M700/M700i and M900/M900i trailed ranges.
