The L32, the new top model in Väderstad’s Tempo L family, is equipped with 32 row units.

Taking over from the 2018-launched L24 as the largest Tempo planter, the L32 will be introduced in row spacings of 375mm, and the planting units will be filled directly from the 3,000-litre hopper. To manage the narrower row spacings, the company has made an offset of every second-row unit and also a narrower row cleaner angle and gauge wheel.

Like the other models in the range (L8, L10, L12, L18 and L24), the number of row units can be adjusted to allow it to work in a variety of different crops.

With half of the machine raised hydraulically and locked into the upper position, the planter works with the other half of the row units. This makes it possible to plant oilseed rape with 32 rows on a 375mm row spacing, and then change to maize on 16 rows with 750mm row spacing.

For the Canadian market, it will be possible to attach the L32 to a Seed Hawk 660 Air Cart (holds up to 23,000 litres of fertilizer). On all other markets (main ones will be North America, eastern Europe, Russia and Australia), the L32, which will be available from June 2021, is a seed-only version.

Tractor power requirement is 350-400hp, and the transport dimensions are 3.85m (width) and 4.25m (height).
