This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pöttinger acquiring the Landsberg plough and implement plant in Germany in 1975.
Numerous arable product launches followed including new Servo ploughs (1988), Lion power harrows (1991) and the Synkro stubble cultivator.
The purchase of the Rabe seed drill plant in Bernburg (Germany) in 2001 allowed Pöttinger to expand its arable farming portfolio with mechanical, pneumatic and mulch seed drills.

Other products followed including the Terradisc compact disc harrow (2003) and a new generation of Terrasem drills (2004), Synkro stubble cultivators (2005) and updated Vitasem mechanical seed drill (2011). The Terria stubble cultivator was added in 2020, and rotary hoes, row crop cultivators and tine harrows joined the product portfolio in 2021.
In 2022, Pöttinger took over Italian manufacturer MaterMacc, which is well known for its precision planting technology, mechanical and pneumatic seed drills, crop care machines and other OEM components.
The Amico front hopper also joined the Pöttinger product range in 2022, and the Plano, the firm’s first shallow cultivator, is new this year.
