Redrock Machinery and Agquip have entered a partnership which will allow the two Northern Ireland firms to prosper. Under the agreement, which was announced last week at the Balmoral Show, Redrock will take over manufacturing to a recently refurbished production area at its factory in Armagh.
Established by Noel O’Kane in 2009, Agquip has been designing and manufacturing umbilical reelers and applicators, even developing its own macerator in 2015. Since 2010 Agquip has been supplying Redrock with tanker mounted low emission slurry spreading products or more specifically dribble bars and trailing shoe applicators.
By utilising Redrock’s larger production facilities this should allow manufacturing to become more efficient. Agquiop’s own facility at Ballymoney will now switch its attention to research and development as well as testing new machines for the Agquip Machinery product range.
Redrock has also recently bought the KTwo and Warwick Trailers manufacturing business known for its trailers and muck spreaders. We will look to see how these products are to be integrated into the Redrock business in a future news story.
