McHale has been making the 660 variable chamber since 2006 and although there have been several tweaks along the way the firm has announced its successor, the V6.

Complete with new panel work, the V6 is available in three build levels; the non-chop 740, 15 knife 750 and the automated function 760.

There is a six bar camless tine pick-up option and the automatic grease system has been taken from the fixed chamber balers. The net is hydraulically tensioned so the same pressure is applied to the net regardless it is the start or end of the roll and you can also set the amount of stretch in relation to the quality of the net being used.

Standard fitment is three belts for the chamber but you can have the single belt as fitted to the variable chamber fusion. Benefits are said to be reduced losses as there are no gaps for short material to escape and less chance of the belts moving.
