The newly-developed chassis on the Twist brings crab steer technology to a slurry tanker to ensure that the wheels run in separate tracks to those of the tractor to reduce ground pressure.
The new pivoting axle provides almost 1.0m of side shift, to ensure that the tanker’s wheels and injection unit run parallel to the wheels of the tractor.
Suitable for tyre sizes of up to 900/60R32, the system is currently manually controlled via a control unit on the tractor, but Fliegl plans to automate it in the near future.
