The Hektor Gigant is made up of bladed drums for chopping stubble and cultivating 10-30mm deep. On the pictured 3.0m version there are 11 of these drums, each with a working with of 300mm. Every drum has 20cm of up and down movement, allowing it to ride over stops or drop into ruts.This model on show at Agritechnica was also fitted with a front-mounted cultivator, which comprises a row of light spring tines and a chopper roller followed by winged tines. The aim is to work to a depth of 30mm.The front and rear combination costs €25,000, and there are trailed versions up to 6.0m also available.
