Dutch firm Flingk had this straw bale dispenser at Agritechnica which uses a pair of hydraulically powered contra rotating rollers fitted with knife sections to chop the straw and allow it to drop onto the belt below. It can spread the material up to 4m. Main advantage says the firm is the much reduced levels of dust compared to flywheel dispensers.
