The TopCut comprises different tools to chop crop residues and create shallow false seedbeds in a wide range of crops and conditions. A 12.0m trailed machine has been in tests since the summer.

Called the 12000-2, the three tool segments can be equipped with single or double knife rollers, crush board or discs. It is also possible to use double wavy discs or a combination of wavy discs and knife rollers (spading and star discs currently in tests).

In dry conditions, lightly worked soils can be consolidated with a roller. It is also possible to run a single row harrow in front of the roller and a three-row straw harrow can be used as an alternative to the roller on stubbles.

Additional machines will be built next season to gain more experience with different tool combinations and the company plans to offer the TopCut in a range of different working widths.

A machine will be on display at Agritechnica next year.
