Crop mapping drone and satellite technology from Cultiwise has attracted the attention of Amazone. The two firms have announced a collaboration that will make it simpler for maps and data created using Cultiwise for crop protection, fertilising and sowing to be transferred to Amazone machines.
Cultiwise contributes satellite- and drone-based application maps as well as AI-based solutions for plant identification. Amazone links this data to its applications via the cloud-based platform AmaConnect. According to the manufacturer, this will allow users to utilise digital maps for sowing as well as applying fertiliser and sprays more effectively. Both companies remain independent and will continue to develop their solutions separately.
The partnership is expected to be particularly evident in two area: In crop protection, AmaSelect, AmaXact, and DirectInject will benefit from optimally prepared spot application maps. For variable-rate maize planting, EasyTram, including the Precea system, will benefit from seamless data transfer via AmaTron Share to the AmaTron 4 operator terminal.
