The 165hp 5165 on the Basak stand at Agritechnica is the most powerful 5000 series tractor so far from the Turkish manufacturer.

One of 13 tractors on the stand, the refreshed exterior styling is not the only change because the 5165 is the first six-cylinder model in the range.

Sitting above the 3.5-litre four-cylinder Deutz powered 5115 (119hp) and 5120 (122hp), the 6.1-litre Stage V Deutz engine in the 5165 is mated the standard 30f x 15r electro-hydraulic power shuttle (54f x 27r creeper box also available). Top speed is 50km/hr.

A sunroof and cab suspension are standard. The options list includes heated electric mirrors and a rear window heater, and a rear-view camera.

With 120l/min hydraulics, rear linkage capacity is 9.5t and the optional front linkage lifts 3.5t. Series production of the 7.7t tractor is planned to start in November next year, and the company says that more powerful models could follow.
