Bobcat is looking to grab some headlines with special edition versions of its V-Drive telehandler. Only 25 of each black edition 3870HF (3.80t, 7.00m) and 4380 HF (4.30t, 8.00m) will be made, each one having a numbered plaque in the cab to identify it.

As well as the black livery, the handlers will be kitted out to a high spec, which it calls Agri 4, and include the V-Drive two speed (0-20, 0-40km/hr) transmission. Introduced last Spring, the continuously variable transmission is said to be more efficient and smoother even when the handler is used for towing. Bobcat adds that it is up to 60% quieter than its previous design and the amount of available hydraulic oil has increased from 59 to 70 litres. Speaking of hydraulics, the HF in the model name stands for High Flow, these two Bobcat models having a 190l/min load-sensing system.

In the cab, operators are treated to an upgraded interior including a leather seat.
