Bogballe was previewing a number of features it will be rolling out to its spreaders at Agritechnica.
An integrated hydraulic drive system will replace the pto powered pump Bogballe has used up to now. This means that the left and right discs can be operated at different speeds to each other. And there is a new ISObus system too which will be able to make full use of the oil-based drive. Another change is two shutter actuators, one for each disc replace the single unit.
Weatherman is a wind and humidity measurement tool placed on the roof of the tractor. This will alert the operator if the wind speed has increased to the point where it is hampering spreading performance. Bogballe’s test experience shows humidity can change from 30 to 96% during the day, and this can have a big impact on the depth of flight path of the granules directly behind the spreader, while the working width is not impacted.
