Demand for wider working widths has prompted Dale Drills to introduce the Eco XL range of seeders, with models from 8.0m up to 13.5m. To get to 13.5m, yet still retain a 3.0m transport width, has meant a complete redesign of the drill’s configuration, so the main transport wheels are now positioned in the middle of the coulter frame rather than at the rear, and the big seed/fert hopper sits up front on an extended drawbar.

Hopper sizes are 6.5t or 8.5t, while power requirement is put at around 25hp/m. Price of the pictured 9.0m model is about £100,000.
