CNH Industrial has completed its acquisition of ATI Inc., a global manufacturer of rubber track systems for high horsepower tractors and combine harvesters.

Providing Case IH and New Holland with access to factory-fitted track technology, the acquisition includes ATI’s North American engineering and manufacturing plant in Mt. Vernon in Indiana.

CNH Industrial’s commercial supply agreement with ATI dates back to 2012, and the tracks are currently fitted to the New Holland T9 articulated tractors.

From next season they will also be available on Case IH and New Holland combines produced at the Grand Island facility in Nebraska. Systems will also be available for retrofitting.

Founded in 1997, ATI’s initial focus was on making rubber tracks for seismic exploration on Alaska’s North Slope, many of which we understand accumulated up to 15,000 hours.

The latest ag version in the picture, a fully suspended 2.8t module called the PowerFlex Trax, was previewed at the 2018 Farm Progress show. The width of the 7.1m long belts is 91cm and the maximum ground contact area is 2.24m². Top speed on the road is 40km/hr.
