The pivoting headstock on the Top V 6520 C twin rotor rake allows it to follow the tractor when cornering and rake a central swath.
The high centring force of the mechanical stabiliser struts also allow the rake to run smoothly without swaying from side to side, and prevent it from running forward when driving downhill.
Aimed at farms seeking a straightforward and low maintenance mounted rake with no complicated hydraulics, the Top V 6520 C is said to be ideal for handling heavy crops with smaller harvesting machines. Working width is mechanically adjustable from 5.9m to 6.5m.
The floating suspension system on the 2.8m diameter rotors provides three-dimensional ground tracking, and the twin rotor rake is available with the new Multitast jockey wheel. Mounted directly on the headstock, this allows it to glide over any bumps in the ground.
The high ground clearance prevents disturbing already-formed swaths when turning on the headland, and the centre of gravity is kept close to the tractor for transport.
Suitable for pairing with a 4.5t tractor with a bit of front ballast, one of the 10 pre-production models is in Ireland. The first commercial machines will be available at the end of this year for the 2027 grass season.
