The wider top and narrower base (50mm/80mm or 80mm/120mm) of Väderstad’s MixIn shins throws material forwards instead of upwards.

This action forces the material to pass the tine twice which, says the company, doubles the mixing intensity and improves the lengthwise distribution of residues.

Other benefits include moving more soil in the driving direction to level uneven parts of the field (such as wheel tracks) and improved clod crumbling in heavier soils.

Available now for Swift, Cultus, Opus and TopDown cultivators, the new conical shin is produced at factory in Överum, Sweden.
