The new front mounted frame with Crushboard option for the Catros compact disc harrow is ideally suited to seedbed preparation, says Amazone.

Available on the 3.0m, 3.50m and 4.0m Catros Special and Catros XL, the Crushboard provides a crumbling and levelling effect and also offers advantages during stubble cultivation where it presses OSR pods. This stimulates the germination of volunteer seed, is the claim, and both OSR and maize stubbles are flattened to speed up the straw rotting process.

Attached in front of the discs, the height of the Crushboard is adjusted mechanically (hydraulic depth adjustment available as an option) from the tractor cab irrespective of the working depth of the rest of the machine.

As an alternative, the front mounted frame can also be equipped with wheel mark eradicators which, says the company, helps to take out wheelings on pressure sensitive soils.
