The three-millionth engine recently left the production line at the Deutz engine factory at Cologne-Porz (an average of around 130,500 a year since the plant opened in June 1993). Another milestone in the long history of the Cologne-based engine manufacturer, just last year Deutz notched up the nine millionth engine to be built worldwide since the company was founded more than 150 years ago. Today, Cologne is the company’s most important engine assembly plant worldwide.
