The Dewulf Certa 40 Integral four-row cup planter can now be combined with the Lemken Zirkon 12 power harrow.
Equipped with 38cm tines, this combination is said to produce a fine tilth in heavy clay soils, and is well suited to stony fields. Nine large depth wheels in front of the cultivator ensure automatic depth control.
Each planting element is equipped with separate hydraulic drive, making the planting distance continuously adjustable for each row. Planting tube width is adjustable from 89 and 114mm and the width is adjusted by a lever at the top of the element. This is said to be useful when dealing with long potatoes.
The 3.5t capacity bunker can optionally be equipped with load cells. This makes it possible to plant according to a target rate in kg/ha. The system can also calculate the average tuber weight and indicate how many hectares can still be planted with the remaining bunker contents.
