We are not yet sure who is responsible for the MB-Trac inspired paintwork, but the colour scheme on this special edition JCB Fastrac 4220 is easily explained. It is 30 years since MB pulled the plug on the iconic Trac in 1991, the same year that the Fastrac made an appearance.

Currently enjoying a lot of interest on social media, the high-spec 220hp tractor, which is badged as the ‘FAST trac’, is the highlight in an online sale by AB-Auction; a cooperation between Agravis and BayWa; Germany’s largest used machinery dealers.

Covered by a JCB extended warranty until December 2021 (or maximum 3,000 hours), the bidding for the 2019 (413-hour) tractor, which is currently restricted to 40km/hr and comes with German registration documents, started at €99,900 (excludes 19% VAT). It now exceeds €102,000.

On the bonnet it is little details such as ‘Supercooler’ replacing the MB Trac intercooler wording.

The auction ends at the end of this month. More details and pictures:
