Fendt tractors and machines have arrived on the African Continent following the launch of the brand at the NAMPO Harvest Day in Bothaville, South Africa, where tractors from the 200, 700, 900 and 1000 Vario Series were on display for the first time.

Fendt’s partner in the region is BHBW Holdings (Pty) Ltd, which is a joint venture between the South African company, Barloworld, and Germany’s BayWa AG.

Another important step for the German tractor maker to enter markets outside of Europe, the expansion into Africa is part of Fendt’s strategy to increase output at Marktoberdorf from around 15,000 tractors this year to 20,000 by 2020.
