Fendt is now finishing all of its tractors and machines in the new Nature Green paint previewed at Agritechnica last year. Described as evolution rather than a revolution, this latest colour is made using the same pigments as the previous green, but then in a new mixture which includes more yellow. The Fendt green has been renewed several times. The original green chosen by company founder Hermann Fendt in the 1930’s was a standard RAL colour. The colour changed when lead was removed, and when there was a switch to low-solvent paint in the 1980’s. So why has the company changed the colour this time? Well, Fendt reckons today’s industrial machines are primarily found in light colours. The new green gives the brand a more modern and high-tech look when combined with the Sky White of the cab roof, the Terra Red of the rims and the Tech Grey of the body. “Nature Green is now more powerful, brighter, livelier and more complex than the previous green,” says chairman Peter-Josef Paffen of the AGCO/Fendt management board. “For us, it is the freshest green in the agricultural equipment industry.”
