Mitas has entered the agricultural rubber track market with the Mitrak range for tractors and self-propelled machines.

Initially aimed at the spare parts business, the belts are offered in different sizes from 457 to 914mm (18-36”) to fit most brands of tracked tractors.

Available in SD (Standard Duty) and HD (Heavy Duty) versions, the stronger internal structure and reinforced construction of the HD is designed for powerful machines, heavier loads, and more demanding conditions.

The tread on all belts is said to provide good wear and cut resistance and ensure long-lasting performance in tough conditions. The reinforced track body comprises three auxiliary wire layers placed at different angles above the steel cables to improve stability. Brass-coated galvanized steel cables provide uniform strength along the track, and an extra wire layer protects the cables from drive-wheel abrasion.

“With Mitrak, we open a new chapter for Mitas, entering the agricultural rubber track segment for the first time and taking a decisive step in the evolution of our brand,” comments global Mitas marketing director Roberta D’Agnano of Yokohama TWS. “This step reflects our ambition to offer farmers a truly complete portfolio, capable of supporting every application and every field condition.”
