In April, this year, when Great Plains Manufacturing announced its decision to close its Sleaford, UK site, it stated that parts and service operations would continue under the responsibility of Great Plains with support from sister company – Kverneland Group. We can reveal that the two Kubota-owned companies will be working even closer together in the future because Great Plains sales and distribution in Western Europe, as well as Poland and Hungary, is to be integrated within Kverneland Group’s sales organisation. Expanding this firm’s arable equipment portfolio, Kverneland will support Great Plains customers and partners in the region with sales, service, spare parts and product support. We understand it will be a gradual integration process and for the time being it is business as usual for Great Plains dealers and customers.

Kverneland Group president and CEO Mr Dai Watanabe is convinced the move will bring strong benefits for customers and dealers, and further strengthen the company’s position as a provider of intelligent and efficient farming systems.
