The used machinery centre just commissioned by Grimme in Germany will increase existing reconditioning capacity sixfold.

The family business has refurbished primarily self-propelled harvesters at its nearby Damme factory for many years. Due to the continuous growth of this business division, the company decided it was time to develop a new purpose-built facility at Riest.

Located directly next to the A1 motorway, the 5,500m² building contains a spacious workshop area, a covered washing bay and an office block. More than 30 staff work at the new site.

“The new centre is primarily used for reconditioning used machinery,” explains Christoph Grimme, “but it also supports the testing and validation of our numerous prototypes, for which the capacity at the Damme site is no longer sufficient.”
